A couple of weeks on from our busiest two events, it was time to shift gear into thinking about the future! The PsyCare Ireland committee and directors met for a Strategy Day in Dublin at the start of October. While we meet online once a month, this day provided us with a chance to get some really important face-to-face time, and gave us a full day to really flesh out our plans on the future of the organisation.

While our monthly meetings tend to focus on the weeks ahead, prepping and organising for events, grants, and outreach work, Strategy Days are a chance for everyone on board at the organisational level to ensure we are aligned on the values and vision of the future. We identified areas of opportunity and it was an excellent chance to think of the big picture - of the impact that PsyCare Ireland is making on the festival and music scene, and in a wider sense on the impact we are making toward changing attitudes about mental health needs in society.

We had time to discuss our overall plan for 2025, as well as looking at directions we would like to grow over the next three and five years. A big part of the day was also assessing the incredible supports offered to us through Social Enterprise Ireland. After a whole day of whole-hearted discussion and planning, there was a great buzz amongst the team and after all the notes were taking and papers tidied away, Sofia Kourtesis playing in the city centre was the perfect way to celebrate.
